JOHNSON, Trevor – Suddenly, after a short illness, at Arvida Care Centre, Queenstown, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, aged 94 years. Cherished and deeply loved husband of Molly*. Respected and dearly loved father, father-in-law and best mate of Kevin and Bernadette. Treasured and dearly loved Grandad of Michelle and Hayden, Nicola and Mike, Mike and Kirsten, and Tim. Adored great Grandad of Sophie and Emily; Louie; and Harry and Greer.

A much-loved son, brother and uncle, at peace with his dear Molly. A service to celebrate Trevor’s life, will be held in Lake Hayes Pavilion, 719 Lake Hayes-Arrow Junction Highway, Queenstown, on Tuesday, 11th August at 1.00 pm, followed by private cremation. Special thanks to staff at Lakes District Hospital, Queenstown, Southland Hospital, Invercargill and Arvida Care Centre, Queenstown. Messages to 80 Panorama Terrace, Queenstown, 9300.

Trevor will be remembered by his daughters, Jacky and Vickey, his grandchildren, Mark, Shaun and Stacey, Emma and Dave; Matthew and Daniell, Ryan and Mikie and his 12 great grandchildren.

To the Johnson extended family - so very sad to hear of Trevor’s passing. A dapper and charming man, witty and always keen to have a yarn. Lovely to have seen you when you travelled down to Invercargill with Kevin and the boys for family occasions or at Kevin and Bernadette’s for family dinners. You will be missed by so many. Thinking of all the family and remembering the time we got to spend with Uncle Trev. We haven’t made it to NZ yet but loved spending time with Uncle Trev and Aunty Molly on their trips to England and France. He and Norm loved to share a joke and carried on, on facetime.

Trevor was the best Great Uncle I could ever have had. I loved him dearly and he and dear Molly were a big part of my life. My only regret was that we lived so far apart. Despite this, Trevor and Molly visited the UK and me and Ian were fortunate enough to visit them in New Zealand. In fact I clearly remember our last goodbye in Queenstown airport in 2013 - Trevor and I were both crying our eyes out. I last spoke to Trevor on the 28th July and cannot believe that a week later he is sadly no longer with us. We have fond, happy memories of our time spent together, not to mention all t…
