HERRON, Pauline Catherine (nee Walsh) – Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Gore Hospital, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, aged 76 years. Dearly loved wife of Paul*, cherished and loved Mum and mother-in-law of Tania and Mark Shallard (Riversdale), Bob*, Jo Lawton (Gore), adored Nana of Hayley and Ollie, Tom; Kate, Josh, and Morgan. Loved daughter of Justin* and Margaret Walsh (Gore), loved sister and sister-in-law of Margaret and Neil McDiarmid (Mataura), John and Ra* Walsh (Gore), Jimmy and Karen Walsh (Balclutha), Maurice* and Linda Walsh (Upper Charlton), Brian and Keri Walsh (Redan), Nicky and Terry* Ashby (Christchurch). Daughter-in-law of Roy* and Kath* Herron, sister-in-law of Joan*, Patsy McCartney (Timaru), Ross and Genevieve (Queenstown). Loved Aunty and friend of her many nieces and nephews. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Pauline’s life will be held in the Riversdale Community Centre, on Monday, June 8th, at 1.00pm, followed by burial at Balfour Cemetery. Family warmly invite you thereafter to join them back at the Riversdale Community Centre for light refreshments. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the service for Hospice Southland.
