MCILROY, Ashley Thomas (Ash) – Peacefully, with family by his side, at Lakes District Hospital, Queenstown on Saturday, September 26, 2026, aged 65 years, he fought hard until the end. Son of the late Nona and Stewart McIlroy, much loved father of Luke, loved brother and brother-in-law of Grant and Betty, Bruce and Michelle, Sally and Kevin, and Craig and Julie. Loved uncle and great uncle to all his nieces and nephews. As per Ashley's wishes, a private family service will be held. A special thank you to Susie and Rebecca from Hospice, Pania and Tara from Abbeyfield, and the staff at Lakes District Hospital for all their care of Ashley.
