Fondest farewell to one of my most honest and trusted friends.

Our friendship grew over many years in Tapanui beginning in the West Otago Garden Club.

Lois was an inspiration to many in horticulture and her passion for all things growing in the garden, she was my spark that started my lifelong passion of gardening.

I remember Friday lunchtime dates at her house where we would eat, laugh then enjoy a tour around her garden.

I will always remember her smile, laugh and quick mind. Her memory for plant names both common and botanical was amazing.

Goodbye my dear friend thankyou for all your guidance over the year may the gardens of heaven be ready for you .

Your trusted…

Thinking of you all at this very sad time with sincere sympathy as you remember a dear Mum, Grandma, Great grandma and I remember a very special teacher. Your Mum Lois or I should say Miss McGrouther was a very loved teacher and netball couch. I was so surprised and blessed that she still knew me last year when I visited her.
