REED, Kelvin Leslie - After a long illness, at home, on Sunday, February 22, 2026, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Gloria, loved father and father-in-law of Chris and Maelee, Trevor, Greg and *Annie, Gareth and Emma, Melissa and Neils Smithson, Gregory and Ireen; hardcase and cherished Popa of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved son of *Charlie and *Vera, brother and brother-in-law of Dulcie, *Tom, Ian and Lynn, Eileen, Neil and Gail, and Nola; and loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate the life of Kelvin will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Ardwick Street, Gore on Monday, March 2, at 11.00am, followed by the interment at Balfour Cemetery. Family warmly invite you to join them thereafter at the Balfour Hall for light refreshments. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Southland, and Lumsden St John. The Reed family warmly thank Access caregivers, Hospice Southland, Ameila, District Nurses, Lumsden Medical Centre, Dr. Matthew Stokes, and Lumsden St John, for all their care and support shown to Kelvin in later years.
