PENNY, Judith Kay (nee Nixon) - Peacefully at Wesley Care, Christchurch, on Saturday, 29 April 2023. Loved and devoted wife of Stuart, adored and dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Andrea and Keith Whiston (Christchurch), Kerryn, and Jan Gerritsen (Taupo), Brett and Debbie (Budapest), loved Grandma of James and Henry, loved Jude of Jesse and Sam, and loved Mama Jude of Liam and Hannah. Much loved and respected sister and sister-in- law of Peter and Karen Nixon, Heather and Barry Simpson, Lachie Nixon, Kelvin and the late Rhondda Nixon, Jeremy and Vikki Nixon, and loved Aunt of her nephews and nieces. A service to celebrate Judith’s life will be held at the Galloway Community Hall, Fisher Lane, on Monday, 8 May, commencing at 11am with a cuppa, followed by burial at Alexandra Cemetery. Sincere thanks to Specialist, Dr Andrew Butler, who gave Judith and the family his professional expertise and trust and has been part of the journey during the past seven years. Also grateful appreciation for Drs Holyoake and Pattimore, and the unbelievably compassionate and caring nursing staff at the Nurse Maude Hospice.
