PAY, John Arthur - Peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at home in Ettrick, after a battle with cancer, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of the "Angel of John's Life" Averill, loved father of Dean, and Tania, and grandfather of all his mokopuna. Son of Phyliss* and Alf*, brother and brother-in-law of Alan and Kay (Clyde), Judith* and John Doyle (Invercargill). Many thanks to Vanessa, and Lauren at Dunedin Oncology; Carmen, Courtney, and Rachel at Dunstan Hospital for always being there with a smile; the district nurses Jane, and Saskai; and the doctors at Roxburgh Medical Centre.
