NORTON, John(of Pukerau) – Peacefully, with family, at Gore Hospital, on Monday, 4 September 2023, in his 100th year. Cherished and deeply loved husband of the late Anita (nee Hogg), dearly loved Dad and father-in-law of Dayle and Margaret, Chris*, Shelley, John and Tsugumi, Gregory*, and dearly loved Grandpa of Hamish, much loved son of Frank* and Kathleen*, loved son-in-law of Arthur* and Janet* Hogg, loved brother and brother-in-law of Eric* and Dorothy*, Nyra* and Jack* McIntosh, Marjorie* and Jock* Luscombe, Joan* and Scott* Robinson, Leona and Sinclair* Reynolds (Alexandra), Malcolm* and Norma* Hogg, Angus* and Pearl Hogg (Gore), and much loved Uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Loved companion of Pinky*, the Bichon Frise. A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore on Tuesday, 12 September, at 1.30pm, followed by a cuppa and interment at Pukerau Cemetery.
