Cherished soulmate of Val (nee Marshall), adored Dad of Taia & Krystal, Maxine & Ahipene, Jordan, Trent, Tyrone, Zavier*, Ahorangi & Irirangi, treasured Grandad of Tane, Trey, Arihana, Starr-Zavier, Jiziyn-Rose, Anahera, Brooklyn & Te Ariki Nui. Loved son of Ron Christie & Keri Ruri* and a much-admired brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, nephew & friend.

Dion is at Te Toimairangi Marae, 54 Eye Street, Invercargill until Thursday April 13, with his farewell service starting at 10.00am followed by interment at Eastern Cemetery to be laid to rest with Zavier.
