SIMMERS, David - It is with sadness we announce the passing of David Simmers at his home, on Monday, January 5, 2026, aged 85. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of the late Jenny. Much loved father and father-in-law of Jeff and Kath Simmers (Waikoikoi), Kath and Dave Keown (Hāwea Flat) and Alistair and Joanie Simmers (New Plymouth). Much loved grandfather of Thomas and Hannah, Ben and Emma, Angus and Kate; Millie and Thomas, Harriet and Rémy and Stella; Amy, Caitlin, Indie, Asher; and great grandfather of Eddie and Lucas. A service to celebrate David’s life will be held at Wānaka Presbyterian Church, 94 Tenby Street, on Wednesday, January 21, at 1:30pm.
