WAITERE, Tamahou a.k.a. Danny  – Peacefully, surrounded by love, with whanau by his side and above, at Dunstan Hospital, on Thursday, 3 September 2026, aged 81 years. Loved son of the late Ned and Waina, much loved son-in-law of the late Mary and Sandy Smith, adored and cherished soulmate of Isobel, a special and treasured father and father-in-law of Sharlene and Russell, Malcolm and Yvette and Coral and Rohan, precious Grandad of Jess and Kyle; Rion, Josh and Renee, Poppa of Zentishka and Tayla, He Koro pou o te aroha ki a Jayda raatou ko Kyle; ko Lily, ko Howie, ko Theodore, loved brother and uncle.
