MCLAREN, Joan (nee Thompson)
24th January 1934 - 7th May 2026
Peacefully, at home, surrounded by family. Joan was the beloved wife of the late Gordon McLaren. Loving mother to Sandi, David and Vickie, and mother-in-law to Tony Hill. Cherished Nana to Jana, Hamish, Olivia and the late Fergus, Logan, Kristina and her 8 great-grandchildren. Loved sister of John Thompson and sister-in-law to Pam Thompson. Dear Aunty to Rebecca and Amber and Great-Aunty to Harriet and Eli. Loved and remembered by her dear friend Christine Thompson.
Joan will be remembered for her generous heart and her zest for life.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service to celebrate Joan’s life at St Peters Anglican church, Queenstown on Friday 05 June 2026 at 11.30am.
