OAKLEY, Dieter Andrew (Andy) – Unexpectedly at home, on 25th July, 2026, aged 77 years. Dearly loved, devoted, and joined at the hip husband of Margaret for 55 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Jeannette and Stephen Lynch (Gore), Michael and Ali-ana Oakley (Invercargill), fun loving Grandad and “Grandad Snowball” of all his Grandchildren and great Grandchildren. Loved son-in-law of Noeline* and Claud*, Loved brother and brother-in-law of Robert* and Keithleigh, Glenys and Morris, Eddie and Kere, Gary, Sheryl* and Stephen, Kathy*and Graeme*. Much loved Uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Andy’s life will be held in the South-ern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore, on Thursday, 30 July, at 2.00pm, followed by light refreshments (BYO if you would like to join the family for a farewell drink). Bugger, bugger bugger: I just want to give you the biggest hug, can you feel it. Good thing he left shit loads of memories especially the ones we he did a bit of cross dressing, (the first one to volunteer, I believe). Words cannot express the loss you must be feeling.
