What a beautiful farewell service for Alison. How amazing and grounded that she had the foresight to plan for the inevitable whilst living life to the full. A great lesson for all. Wishing you courage and strength in the in the difficult times ahead.

To Alison's family - My deep condolences at the tragic loss of Alison. Our paths crossed over work in the public services years ago, but I was really delighted when she became a volunteer baker for Good Bitches Baking. She made a tremendous contribution for our recipients in the Porirua area and was always willing to put her hand up when we needed a baker at short notice. We are really feeling her loss and think we probably will have to replace her with several volunteers, such was her contribution. Alison was endlessly cheerful and had a wonderful can-do atitude, which is always the hallmark of great volunteer. Philippa Doyle (Good Bitches Baking)

Bill and Jill and family. What a wonderful farewell you had for Alison. She packed so much into her life and obviously has impacted so many lives, both in her working life and with her wide circle of friends and of course her family. If enjoyment is an appropriate word you can use to describe someone's final farewell, then I did thoroughly enjoy the live stream this afternoon. All the speakers added another layer to her life story. Her photography skills were amazing obviously covering many of the places she visited. She certainly went a long way from little known Lora Gorge. What a marvelous life well lived.

Our deep condolences for the tragic loss of Alison. We met Alison at the State Service Commission and we've been in touch at various times through the years. Our paths recently crossed again at MBIE where she did legendary work which is still held up as an excellent example. She was such good fun, always optimistic, happy, smiling, working hard with such a great life ethic - working to travel and adventure. Her death has shocked us all. She lived to the fullest, a reminder to do this - and always with a smile.
